To our Artisan and Wealthy St. business friends:

A series of unforeseen personal and business issues has made it impractical for us to carry on our plans to proceed with Baliwicks Artisan Marketplace and Workshop. This has been a tough decision for us, but we must place logic over emotion. Therefore, we will not be opening Baliwicks.

We have been so encouraged by the marvelous response we received from everyone connected to this idea. And we truly feel that West Michigan is willing and capable of supporting this type of venture. We would certainly be willing to share what we have learned with anyone looking to develop something similar locally.

We especially want to thank:

All the artisans and craftsfolk who have expressed interest and excitement in Baliwicks. We are so impressed with the amazing array of inventive talent in our area. We wish you every success.

David and Barbara Huyser, who own the property on Wealthy St.. They could not have been more supporting and understanding during this process.

Cory DeMint of The Electric Cheetah and Electric Eel restaurants on Wealthy Street. You, sir, are a gem.

Steven Scharrer of Tuna-Noodle. Your talent and social ethics give us hope for the future.

Again, our sincere thanks to our friends for their encouragement and to everyone who took interest in Baliwicks.

Michael & Laurie Cirivello
